Miami Heat: Your Corner-by-Corner Guide to the International Autodrome

As the "Great Reset" rolls into the Sunshine State for the 2026 Miami Grand Prix, we are looking at a track that has become a true modern classic.

Weaving around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium, this 5.41km circuit is a high-speed game of chicken with concrete walls.

With the new 8MJ energy management tweaks likely coming into play following the Suzuka controversy, the way drivers tackle these 19 corners will be the difference between a podium and a DNF. Here is the Senate Grand Prix guide to a lap in Miami.

Turn 1: A massive braking zone at the end of the start/finish straight. It’s wide on entry, encouraging wheel-to-wheel action right off the grid. Expect the "Manual Override" battles to start the second the DRS—or rather, the boost mode—is active.

Turns 2 & 3

A fast, flowing right-left flick. This is where the car's balance is tested. If the Ferrari "Fire Horse" has the mechanical grip we suspect, Leclerc and Hamilton will be making up time here against the more "slippery" Mercedes.

Turns 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 (The "Miami Twister")

A high-speed, sweeping complex that demands total commitment. It feels like a street-circuit version of Silverstone’s Maggots and Becketts. One tiny lift here ruins your momentum for the next mile of track.

Turns 11, 12 & 13 (The Beach Party)

After a long blast, you arrive at Turn 11—a sharp left-hand hairpin. This is a primary overtaking spot. Turn 13 then leads you toward the most claustrophobic section of the track.

Turns 14, 15 & 16 (The Overpass Chicane)

The "make or break" section. This is a tight, uphill-then-downhill chicane that passes under the highway flyovers. It’s incredibly narrow.

Turn 17 (The Hairpin)

At the end of the 1.2km back straight, drivers slam on the brakes for this tight left-hander. This is where the most dramatic overtakes happen.

Turns 18 & 19

The final two corners are all about traction. You need to pin the throttle early out of 19 to maximise your speed back onto the pit straight.
