  Brooklands: The Birthplace of Motorsport This weekend, motorsport fans celebrated at Brooklands, highlighting a centenary of motorsport.  Founded by wealthy industrialist  Hugh Locke King   and opened on June 17, 1907,  Brooklands   stands as a legendary monument to British engineering prowess, and what a celebration it was, with Motorsport celebrating every class of competitive driving one could think of, and race fans flooding in to celebrate in style. Brooklands was built in Weybridge, Surrey , to bypass the strict 20 mph speed limit imposed on public UK roads at the turn of the century; it laid the foundation for modern competitive racing, and it's never been forgotten by the motorsports world. While testing times are notoriously deceptive, Max Verstappen looked every bit the hungry champion this morning. Topping the early charts with a 1m35.433s, the Dutchman’s Red Bull appears stable, balanced, and—crucially—reliable.


But he isn't alone. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris have been quick to respond.
