Monza F1® Temple of Speed

History, Heritage, and Corner-by-Corner Guide to Monza With one of my favourite race tracks next up on the calendar, few circuits in motorsport stir the soul quite like the Autodromo Nazionale Monza . Especially with the new McLaren and Lando Norris resurgence, and Ferrari now hot on the heels of the fore-runners in Toto Wolff's Silver Arrows . Known globally as Il Tempio della Velocità (The Temple of Speed), this cathedral of pure velocity nestled in the royal park north of Milan is preparing to host the 2026 Italian Grand Prix next weekend (September 4–6) . At Senate Grand Prix , we know  Monza is not merely another race on the calendar; it is a sacred pilgrimage where century-old motorsport lore, straight-line fury, and  Tifosi passion  collide. A Century of Speed: The Monza Legacy Built in 1922 in a record-breaking 110 days, Monza is the third purpose-built motor racing circuit, after Brooklands and Indianapolis. Detroit Debut: Racing Bulls Charge into the Ford Era

The Motor City of Detroit was the perfect backdrop for the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls to unveil their 2026 challenger.

In front of 1,500 guests and a massive global livestream audience, the team showcased a livery that many—including us here at Senate Grand Prix—think might just have the edge over the senior Red Bull look.

The New Guard: Lawson & Lindblad

Stepping into the spotlight were the team’s 2026 pilots: Liam Lawson and the highly anticipated Arvid Lindblad. Lawson, finally securing a full-time seat after proving his mettle as a reserve, and Lindblad, the teenage sensation moving up the ranks, represent the perfect mix of hunger and raw talent.

Their newly revealed race suits perfectly complement a livery that CEO Peter Bayer describes as the "evolution of the brand."

The Ford Power Factor

Perhaps the most significant part of the launch wasn't the paint, but the badge on the engine cover.

Team Principal Alan Permane emphasised the importance of the Red Bull Ford Powertrains partnership. 2026 marks a historic reset, and having Ford’s world-class engineering and innovation baked into the car from day one puts VCARB in a formidable position.

As Permane noted, entering this new era with Ford isn't just a technical change—it’s a statement of intent. They are no longer just a "B-team"; they are a Ford-powered Works-adjacent contender.

Livery Wars: Red Bull vs. Racing Bulls

While Red Bull went for a retro-blue throwback, Racing Bulls have opted for a design that feels modern, aggressive, and distinct. It’s all down to opinion, of course, but the "Detroit look" has undoubtedly set a high bar for the rest of the grid as we head toward Barcelona testing in just six days.

The cars are beautiful, the drivers are ready, and the Ford power is waiting to be unleashed. The 2026 season is officially getting real.
