Belgian Grand Prix Weekend Predictions!

The Unpredictable Slate: Why the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix Defies the Form Guide At Senate Grand Prix , we will be the first to admit that locking in a concrete prediction right now is a fool's errand. The 2026 technical landscape has thrown predictability entirely out the window. For me right now, as a person who has been in the sport for twenty-five years! We are navigating a brilliant, volatile era where grid hierarchy changes by the hour, dictated by complex electrical harvesting strategies, high-stakes active aerodynamics deployment, and a brutal wave of mechanical DNFs. The early-season dominance enjoyed by Toto Wolff's Silver Arrows has firmly evaporated. The chasing pack hasn't just caught up; they are trading blows on a race-by-race basis. The Converging Giants The Ferrari Resurgence: Following Sir Lewis Hamilton's tactical masterclass in Barcelona and Charles Leclerc’s sensational, drought-breaking triumph at Silverstone, the Scuderia has captured a da...

Detroit Debut: Racing Bulls Charge into the Ford Era

The Motor City of Detroit was the perfect backdrop for the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls to unveil their 2026 challenger.

In front of 1,500 guests and a massive global livestream audience, the team showcased a livery that many—including us here at Senate Grand Prix—think might just have the edge over the senior Red Bull look.

The New Guard: Lawson & Lindblad

Stepping into the spotlight were the team’s 2026 pilots: Liam Lawson and the highly anticipated Arvid Lindblad. Lawson, finally securing a full-time seat after proving his mettle as a reserve, and Lindblad, the teenage sensation moving up the ranks, represent the perfect mix of hunger and raw talent.

Their newly revealed race suits perfectly complement a livery that CEO Peter Bayer describes as the "evolution of the brand."

The Ford Power Factor

Perhaps the most significant part of the launch wasn't the paint, but the badge on the engine cover.

Team Principal Alan Permane emphasised the importance of the Red Bull Ford Powertrains partnership. 2026 marks a historic reset, and having Ford’s world-class engineering and innovation baked into the car from day one puts VCARB in a formidable position.

As Permane noted, entering this new era with Ford isn't just a technical change—it’s a statement of intent. They are no longer just a "B-team"; they are a Ford-powered Works-adjacent contender.

Livery Wars: Red Bull vs. Racing Bulls

While Red Bull went for a retro-blue throwback, Racing Bulls have opted for a design that feels modern, aggressive, and distinct. It’s all down to opinion, of course, but the "Detroit look" has undoubtedly set a high bar for the rest of the grid as we head toward Barcelona testing in just six days.

The cars are beautiful, the drivers are ready, and the Ford power is waiting to be unleashed. The 2026 season is officially getting real.
