Why the 2026 Regulations are Exactly What F1® Needed

Why the 2026 Regulations are Exactly What F1 ®  Needed I have listened, and I have listened, and I have watched the new F1 ® Era!  I have to say I am happy with what I am seeing. The debate over Formula 1 ® ’s new technical era is heating up in the paddock, but let’s be honest: these radical changes are exactly what the sport needed. While purists push back against active aerodynamics and unpredictable electrical deployment strategies, the metrics on our screens don't lie.  Overtaking is up, and the racing has been nothing short of thrilling. Killing the ' Dirty Air' Monster For years, the " dirty air " aerodynamic wake ruined close wheel-to-wheel racing.  Getting stuck behind a rival meant losing vital downforce, killing your momentum, and destroying your tyres within a handful of laps.  That modern aero war had to end to protect the soul of trackside racing, and while reliability is somewhat off, what we are seeing is very interesting. Can Oscar Piastri Silence the Doubters?

It’s Thursday, and here at Senate Grand Prix, we're diving into the most exciting part of the F1 week: the fan predictions for the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix!

The results from our social media poll have landed, and they tell a story of high tension, shifting momentum, and one driver facing immense pressure.

The Podium Vote: A Surprise at the Top

We asked our clients and users who they predict will take the top spots at Interlagos, and the results are clear on where the momentum lies:

Max Verstappen 35%

Lando Norris 32%

Charles Leclerc 30%

Oscar Piastri 2%

The staggering outcome? Oscar Piastri, who led the championship for most of the season until last week, received a mere 2% of the vote.

This brutal assessment from the fans reflects his recent run of form, where he has been outscored by Lando Norris and Max Verstappen in the last four races, culminating in Lando pipping him by just one point (357 to 356) for the championship lead.

The Redemption Challenge: Piastri's Ultimate Test

My podium prediction is sticking with you, the fans! My Senate Grand Prix podium prediction here is that Max Verstappen will win, followed by Charles Leclerc in second, and Oscar Piastri in third.

But the real story is Oscar. Can the young Australian prove everyone wrong?

Max Verstappen's resurgence is built on a foundation of confidence, and he continues to impress.

The Red Bull F1 team has unequivocally got its act together.

Max, a four-time World Champion, is driving with very little pressure because he is already ahead of schedule.

He's simply racking up wins and points, slowly but surely making up the ground he lost earlier this year. As he said, I don't rely on hope; I just go race by race.”

This is really disrupting the narrative at McLaren. While they were busy celebrating their Constructors' Title, perhaps a little bit of focus was diluted

Zak Brown has never won a World Drivers' Championship with any driver, nor has Oscar Piastri, nor Lando Norris.

All of this is not going unnoticed and could be adding to the pressure on the young drivers.

The Leclerc Wildcard

The strong 30% backing for Charles Leclerc is also significant. Leclerc is a fierce competitor who is due a victory.

After getting engaged this week to Alexandra Saint Mluex, life must feel like it's going to plan, and He has consistently put Ferrari back into the fight for second in the Constructors' Championship against Mercedes and Red Bull.

The stage is set for an epic, three-way finale to the season. The pressure is on, and the ultimate winner will be the one who can conquer the high-speed challenge and chaotic atmosphere of Interlagos.

And as always, when the lights go out and the drama unfolds, here at Senate Grand Prix, there is only one winner, and that's you, the race fans!
