Why Silverstone Remains F1®’s Ultimate Race

Why Silverstone Remains F1 ® ’s Ultimate Race There are glamorous street circuits, and there are ultra-modern desert oasis race tracks, but nothing on the global calendar matches the raw, unadulterated soul of the  British Grand Prix ,  even though I tell Seante Grand Prix clients that it's jeans, raincoats, and walking boots. Silverstone isn’t just another race weekend; it is the spiritual home of Formula 1® , hosting the sport's very first World Championship race back in 1950. At Senate Grand Prix , our trackside teams know that conquering this former wartime airfield requires something far beyond standard mechanical grip. It requires pure, unyielding courage. The Ultimate Aero Gauntlet What makes Silverstone the definitive favourite for drivers and fans alike is its blistering, high-speed layout. The Trinity: Copse, Maggots, and Becketts form the most iconic sequence of corners in motorsport. Drivers tackle these sweeps at over 180mph, pulling up to 5g of later...

Kings of the Ardennes

Spa-Francorchamps in the rolling hills of the Ardennes forest, the Belgian Grand Prix is synonymous with raw speed, dramatic elevation changes, and notoriously unpredictable weather. It's a track where legends are forged, and where only the truly exceptional drivers master its untamed challenges.

1. Michael Schumacher: The Unrivalled Master of Spa (6 Wins)

When you think of Spa-Francorchamps, you think of Michael Schumacher. The seven-time World Champion's connection with this circuit is almost mythical. It was at Spa, in 1992, that he claimed his very first Grand Prix victory. He then went on to dominate the Ardennes, securing an incredible six victories (1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2001, 2002). His ability to perform in changeable conditions, his mastery of Eau Rouge, and his relentless pursuit of perfection made him virtually unbeatable here for stretches of his career. Spa was, in many ways, Schumacher's personal playground.

2. Ayrton Senna: The Rain King's Domain (5 Wins)

Ayrton Senna, with five victories at Spa (1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991). Senna famously loved the circuit, and his unique blend of precision and aggression found its perfect match in Spa.

3. Lewis Hamilton: The Modern Era's Conqueror (5 Wins)

Matching Senna's impressive tally, Sir Lewis Hamilton has also conquered Spa five times (2010, 2015, 2017, 2020, 2024)and could surpass it in the coming seasons.

4. Jim Clark

Journeying back to the 1960s, the incredibly gifted Jim Clark asserted his dominance at Spa with four consecutive victories from 1962 to 1965. Clark's smooth, flowing style was ideally suited to the original, even longer and more dangerous, Spa circuit.

These drivers represent the very essence of what it takes to master Spa-Francorchamps.

And as always, when the lights go out and the drama unfolds, here at Senate Grand Prix, there is only one winner, and that's you, the race fans!
