Why the 2026 Regulations are Exactly What F1® Needed

Why the 2026 Regulations are Exactly What F1 ®  Needed I have listened, and I have listened, and I have watched the new F1 ® Era!  I have to say I am happy with what I am seeing. The debate over Formula 1 ® ’s new technical era is heating up in the paddock, but let’s be honest: these radical changes are exactly what the sport needed. While purists push back against active aerodynamics and unpredictable electrical deployment strategies, the metrics on our screens don't lie.  Overtaking is up, and the racing has been nothing short of thrilling. Killing the ' Dirty Air' Monster For years, the " dirty air " aerodynamic wake ruined close wheel-to-wheel racing.  Getting stuck behind a rival meant losing vital downforce, killing your momentum, and destroying your tyres within a handful of laps.  That modern aero war had to end to protect the soul of trackside racing, and while reliability is somewhat off, what we are seeing is very interesting. Spotlight on Ollie Bearman: F1®’s Rising Star from England

Here at the Senate Grand Prix office, we have all had a wonderful weekend. We’ve been closely monitoring the new drivers making waves on the 2025 grid, focusing on getting to know them and how they are adapting to the world of Formula One®.

While much of the talk has centred around Yuki Tsunoda, Red Bull seat changes, and team strategy shake-ups, let’s shine a light on something positive—a young British talent on the rise: Ollie Bearman.

Racing in Formula One® is never easy. Expectations are higher than ever, with money, TV rights popularity, and sponsorship at an all-time high.

Throughout an F1® season, you’ve got two billion eyes watching, the biggest sponsors in the world, and a global platform that offers both pressure and opportunity.

For a young driver, stepping into one of the most exclusive seats in motorsport and performing from day one is a monumental challenge.

While some teams have quickly dismissed young drivers after just two races, the Haas F1® Team is taking a longer-term view with Ollie Bearman—and that decision could prove key.

At 19 years old, the Chelmsford-born driver was immediately impressed by scoring his first F1® points, finishing 10th in Shanghai, China. His teammate Esteban Ocon came in 7th, helping to boost team morale and show that Haas is an actual points contender this early in the season.

Bearman has long been considered one of the top talents in Formula Three and Formula Two. Now, he can prove that he belongs in Formula One® and is here to stay.

Haas F1® has faith in Bearman’s talent, and we believe he’s one to watch for the future. So, good luck from all of us at the Senate Grand Prix as we continue to the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
