Why the 2026 Regulations are Exactly What F1® Needed

Why the 2026 Regulations are Exactly What F1 ®  Needed I have listened, and I have listened, and I have watched the new F1 ® Era!  I have to say I am happy with what I am seeing. The debate over Formula 1 ® ’s new technical era is heating up in the paddock, but let’s be honest: these radical changes are exactly what the sport needed. While purists push back against active aerodynamics and unpredictable electrical deployment strategies, the metrics on our screens don't lie.  Overtaking is up, and the racing has been nothing short of thrilling. Killing the ' Dirty Air' Monster For years, the " dirty air " aerodynamic wake ruined close wheel-to-wheel racing.  Getting stuck behind a rival meant losing vital downforce, killing your momentum, and destroying your tyres within a handful of laps.  That modern aero war had to end to protect the soul of trackside racing, and while reliability is somewhat off, what we are seeing is very interesting. Alex Albon Has Fast Become a Fan Favourite

We have decided to report on something positive with all the talk about Liam Lawson or Yuki Tsunoda here at Senate Grand Prix, we wanted to discuss something on a lighter note.

Williams F1® driver Alex Albon has had a phenomenal start to the 2025 Formula One® season.

Racing under the Thai nationality and flag, he’s gained immense popularity over the past few years. This season, he's firmly taken control of that Williams race car, showing consistent braking patterns, sharp overtakes, and an impressive ability to manage his tyres—all while scoring crucial points.

So far, Alex has scored 16 points for Williams, placing him sixth in the championship standings. At 29 years old, he's now a veteran driver heading into what could be his most successful F1® season yet.

Alex has built a massive fan base, and that support has been on full display, especially with races in China last week and Japan this coming week. You'll see a sea of Williams fans proudly backing Albon at every turn.

While Carlos Sainz seems to be struggling, Albon is carrying the team—he alone has scored 16 of Williams' 17 points this season.

As the car continues to develop and the season presses on, we’re hoping to see Williams fighting for a top-five position against Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes, and McLaren—no easy task.

Everyone at Senate Grand Prix is thrilled to see Williams competing at this level and the ever-likeable Alex Albon scoring points. Let’s hope the momentum continues.
