At the recent Italian Grand Prix, the royal park of Monza Circuit bore witness to an unforgettable, emotional tribute to seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher.

At Senate Grand Prix, our guests and trackside teams were treated to spine-tingling nostalgia as past and present converged in a celebration of the legendary Kaiser.

Vettel Takes the Wheel of Schumacher History

Four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel returned to the Formula 1® paddock to lead the homage to his childhood hero and mentor. 

Slipping back into the cockpit, Vettel took to the high-speed tarmac of Monza behind the wheel of Schumacher’s iconic championship-winning Ferrari machinery, and it was great to see Sebastian Vettel and Rubens Barrichello.

• The Unmistakable V10 Scream: As Vettel powered out of the Variante del Rettifilo and swept through the Curva Grande, the raw, unrestricted roar of the Ferrari V10 engine echoed through the trees, bringing tears to the eyes of veteran mechanics and fans alike.

• A Fitting Ambassador: Having forged his own legacy while openly idolising Schumacher, there was no driver more fitting than Vettel to pilot Michael’s scarlet masterpiece around the cathedral where Schumacher scored five historic victories.

Scarlet Heritage: The Hamilton and Leclerc Tribute Liveries

The celebration extended directly onto the 2026 Grand Prix grid. Both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc carried bespoke tribute elements integrated into their Ferrari liveries:

Seeing Hamilton, who matched Schumacher’s record of seven World Championships, and Leclerc racing in tribute liveries while Vettel thrilled the grandstands created an emotional bridge between Ferrari's golden era and its modern title charge.

Monza always delivers drama, but moments like these remind us why we fall in love with racing in the first place. Michael Schumacher’s spirit remains woven into the very fabric of the Temple of Speed.
