The Lap Breakdown

  • Turn 1 (Niki Lauda Turn): A brutal uphill right-hander. Drivers launch over the aggressive apex curb blind, making it an absolute hotspot for opening-lap chaos.

  • Turns 2 & 3 (Remus): After a blast up a 12% incline, drivers face the slowest corner on the track. This tight right-hand hairpin demands massive braking stability and precise ERS energy deployment.

  • Turn 4 (Rauch) & Turns 5–6: A sweeping downhill plunge into a technical, blind-entry double-left that punishes front-left tyres.

Spielberg, Austria Main Straight

  • Turns 7–8 (Graz): Fast, high-downforce sweeps where cars dance right on the edge of track limits.

  • Turns 9 & 10 (Jochen Rindt): Two blistering, downhill right-handers. Getting the power down early here is critical to carry speed onto the 626-meter start-finish straight
