Monaco Sunday: The Senate Grand Prix Form Guide

The track build is complete, the yachts are dropping anchor in Port Hercule, and the conversation in the paddock has turned entirely to one question: Who is going to tame the streets of Monte Carlo next weekend? The tight, unforgiving barriers of Monaco mean that qualifying is 90% of the race. There is no room for error, no space to breathe, and the ultimate premium is placed on a driver’s raw qualifying single-lap pace. The Senate Grand Prix Top 5 Predictions We’ll be the first to admit we normally get our predictions completely wrong—especially in this highly volatile 2026 technical era. But after analysing the low-speed corner mechanical grip data from Miami and Montreal, our trackside team is locking in our official top five for Sunday's main event: Sir Le...

A New Era, a Familiar Face: George Russell Triumphs in Melbourne

With all sorts of new reports apearing about faulty electrical serges in power from the new power unites and the daners around it, The "Great Reset has been dubbed a complecate affair with vertern pros like Adrian Newey and Honda are struggling, and if yesterday’s season opener at Albert Park was a preview of the 2026 season, we are in for a tactical masterclass.

George Russell didn’t just win the Australian Grand Prix; he survived it.

In a race defined by the "yo-yo" effect of the new 2026 energy deployment and a high-stakes strategic chess match against Ferrari, Russell claimed his sixth career victory and took the lead of the World Championship for the first time in his life.

Russell vs. Leclerc

Despite starting on pole, Russell’s afternoon began with a heart-in-mouth moment.

A sluggish launch—attributed to a low battery state on the grid—saw him swallowed up by a lightning-fast Charles Leclerc, who rocketed from P4 to the lead by Turn 1.

What followed was the "purist's dream" we’ve been waiting for. For the first ten laps, Russell and Leclerc traded the lead almost every lap, using the new Manual Override boost to leapfrog one another.

"It was a hell of a fight! I had nothing in the tank at the start and some really tight battles with Charles... I like this car, I like this engine!" — George Russell via team radio.

The Winning Move: The VSC Gamble

The race turned on Lap 12 when the Red Bull of Isack Hadjar—who had been running an impressive P3 on his debut—stopped on track, triggering a Virtual Safety Car.

While Ferrari opted to stay out and extend their stint on the mediums, Toto Wolff and the Mercedes pit wall pulled a "double-stack" masterstroke.

Russell and his teenage teammate, Kimi Antonelli, both dived into the pits for hard tyres.

It was a gamble on a one-stop strategy that many in the paddock thought was impossible with the new 2026 tyre loads.

The 2026 Pecking Order Revealed

Ferrari’s Frustration: Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finished P3 and P4. While the SF-26 has the raw pace, their hesitation during the VSC cost them the top step.

The Verstappen Recovery: After a disastrous qualifying left him P20, Max Verstappen reminded everyone why he’s a four-time champion, carving through the field to finish P6 behind Lando Norris.

The Rookie Sensation: Arvid Lindblad scored points on his F1 debut for Racing Bulls (P8), while Gabriel Bortoleto secured Audi’s first-ever points in P9.

At Senate Grand Prix, we’ve seen decades of season openers, but the poise Russell showed under the "Manual Override" era was something special.

The Silver Arrows have found the "sharpest blade" for 2026.
