What's New as F1 Returns to The Strip for 2025?
With 21 races already behind us, the Formula 1 season enters its final, crunch phase with the dramatic return to the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.
Now in its third year, the meeting between the Entertainment Capital of the World and F1 is bigger, bolder, and more profitable than ever. But what exactly has changed for the 2025 edition as the Drivers' Championship heads for its showdown?
The Economic Juggernaut: Bigger Than Ever
The late November slot for F1's annual takeover of the Vegas Strip has proven wildly successful.
Following the massive $1.5 billion economic impact of the inaugural 2023 event (which included initial infrastructure investment), the 2024 race cemented its place as Vegas's largest annual event, generating $934 million in revenue.
This success has given organisers the confidence to significantly elevate the fan experience in 2025.
Organisers listened carefully to feedback and have implemented significant operational changes to enhance the spectacle and the convenience of the event:
- Earlier Start Time: On-track action, including the Grand Prix itself, will now kick off two hours earlier than in past years, with "lights out" scheduled for 8 p.m. PST.
- This shift is designed to improve visibility for East Coast TV access and reduce disruption on the Strip. All support sessions, including practice and qualifying, are moved up accordingly.
- The Trackside Tavern: For those seeking the ultimate blend of luxury and sporting spectacle, a new “Trackside Tavern” has been rolled out atop the Paddock Club.
- This sports-bar-inspired lounge offers panoramic circuit views, sportsbook-style media screens, signature cocktails, and high-end games like shuffleboard and foosball.
- Elevated Offerings: Hospitality spaces continue to evolve, with culinary highlights including lobster towers, prime-grill bars, A5 Miyazaki fried rice, and wagyu tartare with caviar.
Fan Immersion and Support Series
The commitment to fan immersion has also expanded for 2025:
- F1 Academy Finale: The Las Vegas street circuit marks the season finale for the all-female F1 Academy, the first time this single-seater support series will race on the same track as the top tier.
- Select ticket tiers will even offer paddock and garage access for these drivers.
- Expanded General Admission: General admission fans now have expanded access, including the East Harmon Zone and, for the first time, select activations in the Koval Zone by Heineken.
- Special Liveries: To match the city's high-energy aesthetic, several teams have unveiled special liveries for the weekend. Kick Sauber is running a 'Final Lap' scheme ahead of their Audi takeover, Racing Bulls are rocking a holographic-inspired design, and Williams unveiled a stunning all-black Rovo livery.
With the 2025 Las Vegas edition, the Grand Prix doubles down on spectacle, fan immersion, and global appeal as it hosts the opening salvo of the final triple-header that will definitively crown the 2025 Drivers' World Champion. The stakes couldn't be higher.
